Students write each number in two different forms. The number is given in the standard form. Students write each number in both word form and expanded form. Each question is given in a different setting and has creative visuals for students to enjoy looking at.

  • Activity 2: Chop It!

Students look at the number given and write it in word form in this fun ninja-style game.

  • Activity 3: Fill It In

Students fill in the missing parts of the chart. The chart shows standard form, word form, and expanded form. There are always two pieces missing students need to fill in on each task card.

  • Activity 4: Tablet Time

Students look at the tablet and decide how to write the number given in the expanded form. This is great practice for working on place value and breaking apart big numbers into smaller more manageable forms.
