This Christmas game has been great for practicing multiplication facts in our room! 🎄 My goal is for all of my students to have their facts memorized by Christmas and about 75% of them are already there! 🎉🎉 I expect my class to have their multiplication facts memorized so that area is a LOT easier in January and equivalent fractions make a whole lot more sense right after that 😉.

So I added this anchor chart to the wall today (disclaimer: I’m pretty awful at making anchor charts! 😂) but it proved to be very effective! I hung it on the wall right behind my small group table. I told my class that any time they didn’t show work on a multi-step word problem, they would have to recite every sentence on this chart for me. Many of my kids found out I wasn’t kidding and showed quite a bit of work on their papers after having to recite it once or twice! 😂🤷♀️✅ We are nowhere near proficient but I’m seeing a LITTLE bit of progress and I’ll take every little piece I can get! 🤞🤞 ...
