The “easy” version is a simple worksheet for each clue. After students complete each worksheet, you hand them the clue cards (shown above) that instruct them who to cross out after solving each clue. There is very little reading involved.
Please note: The mysteries above might appear the “same” when you open them at first glance. But look carefully at the clues in each one! Each version above focuses on a different set of skills. Choose the one that fits what your students need practice with!
EXTRA MYSTERY!
Do you have students who need enrichment? There is an EXTRA mystery included that focuses on addition and subtraction facts to 20!
While your on-grade level students work on the regular mystery, higher students can work on the Add & Subtract to 20 mystery. This would be a great way to differentiate in small groups!
2 VERSIONS OF EVERY MYSTERY (3 & 5 CLUES)
Differentiation can be tricky in any classroom. Every teacher has students of multiple ability levels who all require their attention. How do you help them all at once?
Two versions of an activity! With math mysteries, you can choose between the 3 Clue & 5 Clue versions to give each student exactly what they need.
Are you short on time or need fewer clues for students to solve? Use the 3 clue version! Do you have longer class periods or students who need a more challenging assignment? Use the 5 clue version!
PRINT AND DIGITAL
Choose between print and go or the digital version with Google Slides. These are easy to assign in Google Classroom and are perfect for teachers who have copy limits.
FAST FINISHER ACTIVITY
If students finish early, give them a certificate of completion and a directed drawing (includes 6) to complete while others continue working.
