HOW TO PLAY
- Step 1: Show fifth grade students the directions and give each student a map of the places in the video game.
- Step 2: Each time students solve a clue, it will reveal which location to cross out on the map!
- Step 3: When students complete all clues, the mystery will be solved and the location of the final boss will be revealed!

Please note: The mysteries above might appear the “same” when you open them at first glance. But look carefully at the clues in each one! Each version above focuses on a different set of skills. Choose the one that fits what your students need practice with!
Choose the mystery that includes multiple 5th grade math skills (Mystery #1), the multiplication and division facts (Mystery #2), or the add/subtract facts math mystery (Mystery #3). And another cool fact? Clues are interchangeable! This means you could use the 5th grade mystery and swap out one of the clues for an add/subtract clue instead if you wanted to. This activity is made to be flexible!

Are you short on time or need fewer clues for students to solve? Use the 3 clue version! Do you have longer class periods or students who need a more challenging assignment? Use the 5 clue version!

Every mystery comes with different clues for students to solve. Each time they solve a clue, students are given a phrase that will tell them what to cross off their recording sheet. Students are actively using their critical thinking skills to determine answers in these detective worksheets! When all clues are complete, students will solve the mystery!
