40 Kindergarten Classroom Transformations

I’ve created 40 kindergarten classroom transformations and they all align with the kindergarten common core math standards. It was a huge undertaking, but now that it’s done, it’s incredibly easy to keep my kiddos engaged and we complete a room transformation once a week.

Here’s a list of all 40 and what standards they align with:

  1. Pilot Day: Counting within 100 (K.CC.1)
  2. Space Day: Counting Forward from a Given Number (K.CC.2)
  3. Circus Day: Write Numbers 1-20 (K.CC.3)
  4. Farmer Day: Write Numbers and Quantities (K.CC.4)
  5. Grocery Store Day: Count How Many (K.CC.5)
  6. Candy Shop Day: More or Less (K.CC.6)
  7. Zoo Day: Compare Numbers 1-10 (K.CC.7)
  8. Party Planner Day: Counting and Cardinality Review (K.CC.1-K.CC.7)

  12. Under the Sea Day: Name Shapes (K.G.2)
  13. Artist Day: 2D or 3D (K.G.3)
  14. Ice Cream Day: Compare 2D and 3D Shapes (K.G.4)
  15. Race Car Day: Model Shapes in the Real World (K.G.5)
  16. Doctor Day: Compose Simple Shapes to Form Larger Shapes (K.G.6)
  17. Royalty Day: Describe Length/Width (K.MD.1)
  18. Scientist Day: Compare Objects with More/Less (K.MD.2)
  19. Safari Day: Count and Classify Objects (K.MD.3)
  20. Firefighter Day: Compose/Decompose Numbers within 10 (K.NBT.1)
  21. Construction Day: Addition and Subtraction with Pictures (K.OA.1)
